Red Envelope

If you feel comfortable to do so, you can also choose to follow the Chinese custom of a red envelope, called Hongbao, to help us start our lives together. Guests of a wedding in China will normally bring a red envelope with cash to the couple on the Big Day. If you are doing it, please ensure you have your name(s) clearly labelled on the envelope because the couple will normally get a lot of them on the day and it is hard to remember how everyone’s envelops look like. At home, the Chinese tradition of the red envelope with cash is considered good luck and we appreciate that from you!
